PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!!
By now I am sure that all of you know that I am RETIRING....not RESIGNING....but RETIRING. This is a very Bitter/Sweet thing. If I dealt with it emotionally, I would stay here until you had to carry me on the platform on a stretcher. Dealing with it Spiritually allows me to seek, know and follow the Will of our Lord Jesus. I WANT TO BE ADAMANT ABOUT THIS ONE THING. I AM NOT RETIRING AT THIS TIME BECAUSE OF ANY NEGATIVE.  I have kept one thing front and center in my heart over the past few years as I have aged and knew this day would eventually come. I wanted to know from Jesus when it was time. I did not want to stay one day too long nor leave one day too soon. I wanted to leave while the Fire still burned in my heart and the Glory of Jesus was still on His Church. I wanted to leave at a time the Ministry was strong and the Possibilities were great. This very moment fits that criteria. It is time for me to step aside and allow the Church to seek and find God's Next Man for the Pulpit. Your Deacons have already started the process. They have asked me to give them advice as to WHAT to consider. I told them I will advise them on WHAT but would in no way seek to influence WHO. God has a man for you. A man of the WORD, A man with New Vision, New Vim, Vigor, and a New Vitality. . I am convinced that the Lord will use Him and Use you to climb to New heights that you will be both blessed and amazed by. As far me, If God Will, We will take a few months to rest up and then...THEN....MY HUMBLE PRAY IS THAT THE LORD WILL FULFILL A RETIREMENT DREAM FOR ME. I WANT TO BE USED TO HELP A SMALLER CHURCH OR CHURCHES THAT NEED A JUMP START, A REVIVAL OF PURPOSE AND PRAISE. Will you pray for me to be able to do that. Will you pray this prayer with me, Lord Jesus, Give Bro. Joe the place where he can GLORIFY YOU AND EDIFY YOUR CHURCH. Remember, I will be praying for you and shouting praises as I hear of the Good Things God brings to you.
